Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get connected to services?

I offer free 20-minute in-person or video consultation appointments for potential clients who want more information about my services. The consultation is a great opportunity to meet me, ask questions, and determine whether or not we would be a good fit working together.

To schedule a consultation, please visit my Contact page.

What are your office hours & where are you located?

I am in-office Mondays and Tuesdays, with appointment start times ranging from 8am to 2pm.

I do not offer evening or weekend appointments.

My office is located in the Bellingham Towers building at 119 N. Commercial Street, Suite 940 in Bellingham, WA.

Paid street parking is available.

What is the cost & how do I pay?

My cash pay rates are as follows:

  • $150 for a 53-minute individual counseling appointment
  • $175 for a 53-minute intake appointment

Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, credit card, and HSA.

Payment for session cost or copay is due at the time of service.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I am an in-network provider with many major insurance companies, including:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • First Choice
  • HMA
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Premera
  • Regence
  • United Healthcare

Sessions are billed to insurance as follows:

  • $175 for a 53-minute individual counseling appointment
  • $200 for a 53-minute intake appointment

If you would like to be seen using your insurance benefits, please let me know during our consultation appointment. It is your responsibility to verify your insurance benefits before attending an intake appointment.

If I am not in-network with your insurance company, you may use your out-of-network benefits for possible reimbursement. If you are interested in this option, please let me know.

What is the scope of your care?

I am unable to provide counseling services in between scheduled appointments. I am mindful of the limitations of my practice schedule and, due to this, I may be unable to work with clients who require more regular contact and availability or are experiencing more acute challenges.

It is my priority to be clear about my scope of practice and my limitations. If needed, we will discuss this in our consultation appointment. Should I feel I cannot provide the level of care you require, I will be intentional about offering appropriate referrals to other providers who may be better suited to meet your needs.
